General Product Safety Regulations

As of the 13th December 2024 sellers are required to comply with the EU directive on General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) that is applied to products sold to the EU & Northern Ireland.

  • The GSPR introduces new requirements in areas such as traceability to ensure transparency and product safety.Ā These include:
  • That products are traceable (for example, through a batch or serial number) in a way that is visible and accessible for consumers
  • That businesses selling into the EU and Northern Ireland have a named point of contact on product safety (known as the ā€˜EU Responsible Personā€™)

While it is important to ensure that all products supplied are safe, GPSR requires us to not only detail the supply chain, but require the manufacture to alter labeling and provide further details of manufacture.

All our lights have passed the required safety test, to BS standards and CE tested. As these are made in such small quantities it is not vialble to change all the processes, nor for us to employee a named representative in Northern Ireland to deal with the registration and act as our named Individual.

So unfortunately, with immediate effect we are unable to supply any J D Burford lights to Northern Ireland or the EU. Mullan Lights (which are EU made could still be sold) until and unless the position is updated by the EU & UK governments.

We are sorry for any dissapointment caused.
