The right choice depends on where the light is going and what it needs to do:
Outdoor porches and entrances need IP44 rating as a minimum — all our Fisherman’s, Barn and Burford wall lights meet this as standard. For exposed positions facing the full weather, our IP65 rated options offer additional protection.
Enclosed porches and hallways open up more options — pendants work beautifully here where a wall light alone wouldn’t provide enough light. A Fisherman’s pendant in a glazed porch makes an immediate statement while providing generous illumination.
Narrow hallways suit wall lights over ceiling pendants — they provide ambient light without reducing headroom. Mount at 1.5–1.7m for balanced illumination without glare at eye level.
